Capt. Ravi Somakumar (Managing Director)
Ravi brings over 25 years of shipping experience to the team. He is a Master Mariner with extensive sea-going experience having sailed with one of the largest ship managers on most vessel types including Bulk Carriers, Oil & Product Tankers and Very Large Gas Carriers. After joining ashore in Singapore he has extensive experience heading Operations, Commercial, Chartering and Quality Management.
Subsequently, he joined as Director with a niche ship owning, chartering and commercial management company operating a fleet of Gas Carriers, Tankers, and Bulk Carriers. His experience spans ship financing activities, corporate restructuring and management consulting.
Having graduated with a Master of Maritime Studies from Nanyang Technological University Singapore and a Member of the Institute of Chartered Shipbrokers, he also has been involved in various International committees and consultancy projects for major ship owners and Investors.
